Please ensure your pet has been fasted for 12 hours. If there is food in the intestinal tract images of certain organs may not be able to be obtained.

For our abdominal ultrasound we generally sedate our patients with a reversible sedation if needed. This price is included in the ultrasound.

If your pet has an abnormal mass or swelling on the ultrasound would you want us to take samples of this (this procedure is called a fine needle aspirate – FNA): cost of aspiration is $80 (we would take these while the sonographer is here and your pet is sedated) – submitting will be additional (the doctor will discuss that with you once the ultrasound results are obtained).
